No more cribs

Jake climbed out of the crib last weekend. We know this because we heard knocking on his bedroom door when he was supposed to be sleeping. So Jake was upgraded into a big boy bed. He had to be the helper and put his bed together. After a few rough nights of adjusting, he his sleeping in it like a pro!

Jake put all of his pockets to good use this week. He was so proud of himself. He had a very nice time coloring.

First Day of School

Today was the 1st day of school for miss mattie. She started off really excited. She is posing her hip-hop pose for the pictures.

As we walked to school her excitement got left at home and fear found us around the corner. There is a little girl from her pre-k in her class, so i thought she would do fine. You can see how excited she is.

This is what we found when we took one last look in on her before we left. I think she might be having second thoughts.

All was well when we picked her up. She was happy again.

I told her she would have to do her homework every day and she started to cry. She said then she won't have time for any minutes. "Minutes" are what mattie calls the end of the day where she drinks her milk and watches some tv before bed. I reassured her she would still have her minutes, but i don't think she believed me.

Practice Kindergarten

Mattie had practice Kindergarten on friday. We went to school and met her teacher and saw where the bathroom was, important stuff like that. She was very excited to go to that. Her brother was even excited!
Jake thought a going to kindergarten was reason enough to laugh himself silly!

Baby Jake

Jake was being so cute last week. He hadn' t been feeling very well, so he was laying on the couch watching his favorite movie, Cars. He made his own little nest and was just watching his moving.

Soccer Game!

Mattie played in her first soccer game this past saturday. She did really good and even had a little fun. I think all the girls would say that the best part about a soccer game is the snack! The funniest part about it was that when the ball came towards them they would all scream like crazy.
