Our Trip

We are back from our Thanksgiving Trip to Utah. It was lots of fun to our family in Utah, plus all the others who drove in for the Holiday. Here is one quick picture from our trip. Don't worry, there will be plenty more, I just wanted to post one right now. Our drive home took almost 12 hours, there was so serious traffic in Vegas and it never really seemed to go away :(

Fullerton Arboretum

Yesterday, Jake and I went to play at the Fullerton Arboretum. It was really nice and had free parking. Jake really liked playing with the ducks and find new stuff to climb on. They even have a children's garden. There are little tables just sized for Jake, with perfectly sized rocks for the chairs, Jake of course was very happy! Here are a few pictures from our morning outing.

Mattie got her school pictures taken, so of course, Jake was all for smiling. He actually was somewhat excited for the pictures, he picked out his sweater.

I wasn't happy with Mattie's school pictures, so we went to the park yesterday to take some fall pictures.

Awards!

It was award day at Mattie's school, she didn't know it, but she was getting an award for dictation (she has 100% on dictation for the whole year). Jake and I were able to be there for her award. She was a little excited to have her name called.

Nap Time

Jake still takes naps most of the time. After lunch we go and lay down in his bed and read 3 or 4 stories. Then I tell him I have to go to the bathroom and I will be back in a minute to lay down next to him and then I leave and shut the door and don't come back in until it is time to wake him up. Today before I left him in his bed, he said "Wait I need that" and he was pointing to his Noah's ark toy. Most days, I don't care if he sleeps or not, just so that he is resting and away from me, so I gave him his toy. When I woke him, this is what I found. You could play 'I spy' with all the things he has with him, oh well.
