Christmas Morning

We had a very merry Christmas and hope that you did too! Here is the run down of Christmas morning.
We made Mattie sleep in Jake's room, Matties room has direct access to the family room and she has no self control when santa is involved. We set up the chairs to be a gate to keep them out of family room until we said go!

Christmas Eve

We went to the Mission Inn on Monday, Mattie and Jake were willing models for a few minutes. Here they are by the BIG Christmas tree.
The Santa Hats I made last weekend, were so easy, I decided to make the Christmas Trees. These were even easier.
I really wanted to get this picture with Mattie and Jake, but they were DONE with me and would pose for no more pictures. But my super cute niece, Miss K, was a willing model! Isn't she a cutie!

Santa's Hats

Tomorrow we have a special Christmas Dinner to go to, I was get to bring cupcakes. I hate it when I go to all the trouble to make something for dessert and no one eats it. So this time I decided to bake these cupcake 'pops'. And for something special, they are Santa hats.

Letters to Santa

Mattie wrote her letter to Santa a week or so ago, she also included a letter from her brother since he is too little to write his own letter. Here is the letter:

So basically Mattie wants an American Girl Doll and she thinks Jake really wants American Girl Doll Boy stuff!!

Dave is seriously trying to get in good with Santa this year. He took Mattie and Jake to the Primary breakfast this morning, something I had NO interest in doing and I was able to finish wrapping presents, clean the house, make Dave's favorite cookies and play in Photoshop! I was playing with this picture from Temple Square at Thanksgiving

Jake

I really try not to brag about my little ones here, I don't want to make my sister Kelly gag or anything :) But anyways, for Jake's birthday, he got Hungry Hungry Hippos and he loves it! Well yesterday, I found him doing this, putting all of the Hippo Food into his toes! He was very proud, silly little boy, but here is a picture for you to help you visualize.

Christmas at the Fire Station

We were lucky enough to get to go to the big party at our local fire station this past weekend, Mattie and Jake have looked forward to this all year. They had all the great stuff like last year and Santa even brought presents for the good little boys and girls!

Our Trip

While we were in Utah, we went to Park City for a day, we walked up and down Main Street and then we went to the ski resort for some Ice Skating, Mattie loved it and well, Jake did not.

We went to the dinosaur mussuem at Thanksgiving Point. Mattie and Jake really liked that.

Mattie and Jake got to play Rockband with their cousins.

We went to Temple Square and Jake was happy to be the resident dog and Mattie found a Nutcracker

Soccer Party

Yea!! Soccer Season is FINALLY over!! Soccer was actually over the day before we left for Utah for Thanksgiving, but I've been a bad blogger :( Mattie's soccer season ended with a big pizza party. I made a Soccer Star Bear Cake for the party. Here are some pictures of Mattie and Jake at the party, Jake was thrilled to have some cake!
