THe Polar Express

As you know, we were in Utah to spend Thanksgiving with Dave's family. As part of this trip, Audrey got us all tickets on the Polar Express. It was very fun!

My dad gave Mattie and Jake a back to school kit this fall, in it was a calculator. This past week Mattie has been attached to the calculator having fun with times. So yesterday she left me this little note, how cute it that!?!?

STUDENT OF THE MONTH!

Mattie is the student of the month for her class! Huge news! As student of the month, she gets to cut in line, wear a badge, and stand during math time (which is a good thing?!?!)

Lincoln Logs

We are lucky enough to have all of Dave's old Lincoln Logs. Because of this, Jake and I can build the whole town. Please note the civil war solider and green army men and cowboy all on our watch tower.

My sweet Mattie is so kind all of the time to everyone! She had a cute outfit all planned for today and Jake drew on her shirt (washable markers, and yes he went into timeout for a long time) anyways she had to change her shirt but she didn't complain or anything. So I asked if I could take her picture this morning before school and she said yes, so here is my beautiful Mattie and one of her trying to hug a little monster (formerly known as Jake)
