Soul Surfer

Mattie and Jake have been asking to see Soul Surfer.  So like a good mom, I got it from netflix, and we watched it.  It was very good!  Jake, Mattie, Dave and I enjoyed it.  The only problem is that the week before we had watch rouge sharks on the discovery channel.  Jake really took soul surfer to heart, and now he is drawing pictures of people with missing limbs, because the shark bit it off, or this picture of shark eating someone.

He did however get back into the ocean without a second thought and went swimming after watch both films :)

Soccer Season

Red Tide

I've been hearing little bits here and there about there being a red tide.  I've seen them before but I wanted to take the kiddos to go and see it.  So we headed down to Seal Beach.  There was no red tide at seal beach :( But there was a beautiful sunset.  I tortured the kids a little.

After we left seal beach, we drove down to Huntington and saw the red tide, but i was too tired to get my camera, but it was pretty cool, it looks like a glow stick leaked into the waves!!
