Daddy Day Care

As some of you know, Monday is Dave's day off. In an effort to make more mula, I have been going into the office on monday mornings while Dave is home. This is good for everyone. Dave gets some quality (or quantity) time with Mattie and Jake, and I get time away. Sometimes Daddy Day Care days can get expensive. Dave has been tricked into Build-A-Bear, and yes even Jake got one, Dave is usually encouraged by Mattie to get Subway for lunch, and today he was pressured into a Slip-n-Slide, because it is hot. Mind you the heat is not new, it was here last summer and we were fine, but apparently Mattie saw window being with her Dad at Target and she went for it. STALKARAZZI IN OUR BACKYARD

Mattie and Jake were enjoying our nice spring weather today and even letting me get some cute pictures or them. They were doing crazy train style slide riding and Mattie got fancy while surfing down the slide. Then all the sudden Jake was finished taking pictures. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Mattie and Skylar at Disneyland. Mattie was very excited to wear her belle dress.

Kendra visits, this makes everyone in our house very happy! (even if we only get to see her for one evening)

Jake in the bath. He loves bubbles, and he really loves it when his daddy puts to many bubbles in the tub.

Jake is so talented. He can go into the garage and open the fridge in there and take out applesauce, fruit cups or maybe even a pudding snack and then go ask someone to open it and have himself a little snack on the slide.

Seal Beach Race Day

Today was the Seal Beach Race Day. Mattie and Jake ran in the kids 1k fun run. Jake was less than happy with having to wear a number and Mattie was just thrilled to be racing again. I did the 5k this year so they wouldn't have to wait for me to finish the 10k like last year. Mattie had a lot of fun in the Kids Zone after the race. She got her face painted, her hair painted and lots of popsicles.

Lost Sully

Mattie lost her sully stuffed animal on our trip to Yosemite. This has been a very big deal for us here. Sully has to guard Mattie's door while she sleeps at night. When you put her to bed at night you have to talk to sully, tell him to keep her safe, no bugs, spiders, creepy crawlies, monster, or bad dreams, just princess, princes, good fairies, and fairy godmothers. If you forget to talk to sully, she will ask you to and tell you what to say. So we have been having cheetah stand in for sully and Mattie has been praying that sully will be safe wherever he is lost at. (Mattie says that cheetah has been doing a good job, but not as good as sully did). So today we went to Disneyland and got new Sully so the tears at bed time can stop. Here is a picture with her new sully and some stickers on her head (she does this all the time and its just proof that she is related to her aunt Kendra) and some pictures at brother bears play area - Jake's favorite spot at Disneyland because he is free from the terrible child restraining device we call a stroller.
