Shark day at the Aquarium

This past satuday there was a member only even at the Aquarium, shark morning. We got to get free face painting, arts and crafts, have the place practically empty and watch the sharks get their breakfast.

Library Day

So today, I took Mattie and Jake to the library to get their very own library cards. The sad thing is that they discovered that you can also borrow movies and both choose to borrow a movie rather than a book :(

Its Dancing Season

End of the School Year

Yesterday was Mattie's last day of school! Her teacher planned a fab ice cream party for after lunch, and Jake and I got to come to it :)

Today was awards day at school! Mattie got an award for generally just being awesome, she has an average of 106% on her spelling test and 98% in math and is reading above her level at school :)

So yesterday, Mattie and Jake and I went down to Laguna to meet up with some of my photographer friends. We had a ton of fun and everyone is so nice. But the best part was that Dave came down for dinner and for beach pictures, so I was actually in the picture :) My friend Carrie took this picture for us.

But before the sunset was just right, these dolphins came and totally took over the show :)

Bed Time

So Jake is not a good sleeper. He would love to be as close as possible to dave or me all night long. So as a concession, Jake has been sleeping on the floor in our room but he stays there all night long and doesn't wake up screaming. Well a few nights ago he was laying down on the floor in our room and he wanted me to come lay down too, but i didn't want to. So I said I couldn't, so he brought his 'bed' and laid down by me, and about 3 minutes later I could hear snoring.
